Joseph Smith Obituary

Joseph “Joey" M. Smith, 59, of Terre Haute, Indiana and formerly of Hymera, Indiana passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Gibson Family Center in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born in Linton, Indiana on November 26, 1963, the son of Joe M. Smith and Janice Ladson Smith.

Joey was an inventory manager at DADC, he also became a Certified Recovery Specialist, a 10-year member of the 4H Club, his hobbies included AKC show dogs, horses gardening and landscaping.

He is survived by his parents: Joe M. Smith and Janice Smith of Sullivan, Indiana, two sisters: Jennifer Cox (Darin) of Merom, Indiana and Toni Wiles (Jim) of Shelburn, Indiana, brother, Jeff Smith (Rita) of Logansport, Indiana, special Aunt Barbara Enstrom of Hymera, Indiana, special nieces: Jenna Cox and Theresa Ray, special friends: Merri West and Doug Ellett and several other family members and friends. He helped raise T.J., Britany and Travis.

Private services will be held at a later date per his request.
