Leona C. (Fry) Helman

Leona C. Helman, 96, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Southwood Nursing Home in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born on July 8, 1923 in Clay County, Indiana the daughter of William Fry and Alice Everwine Fry. Leona was a lifelong homemaker and attended Sullivan First United Methodist Church. She loved horses, camping and fishing.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marion Helman, two daughters; Marian Boyll and Elinor Orman, two sons-in-law; Gerald E. Boyll and Paul Orman, two brothers; Bill Fry and Freddie Fry, two sisters; Arlie Sisk-Carpenter and Della Pearl Eyre and one grandson, James Boyll.

Survivors include six grandchildren; Gerald C. (Rolla) Boyll, Thomas (Nancy) Boyll, Jenny (Roger) Samm, Steve (Jeanne) Orman, Paula (Robert) Johnson and Connie McQueen, seventeen great-grandchildren, twenty-one great great grandchildren, five great great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana. Interment will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
