Leslie A. Monk, 68, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on February 22, 1951 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Richard “Dick” Monk and Laura Joyce Murdock Monk. Les was a skilled carpenter who created a wide range of projects. He was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church in Graysville, Indiana.

Les is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Monk, loving wife, Shannon Jewell Monk, four sons; Conner Monk (Joey Grundon) of Sullivan, Indiana, Mason Monk of Sullivan, Indiana, Christian Monk of New York and Taylor Monk of New York, two daughters; Marcy Zunk (Michael) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jessica Hunter (Samuel Phipps) of Sullivan, Indiana, sister, Marsha Kennedy (Paul Hoffner) of Sullivan, Indiana and three grandchildren; Jett, Meryl and Aelis, three nephews, Cody, Casey, and Jason Gettinger, a niece Katelynn Kennedy and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 29, 2019 at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
