Madonna “Donna” Ray, 70, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on January 2, 1953, in Washington, Indiana the daughter of William Russell and Una Marlow Russell. Donna graduated from high school, was a homemaker until her daughter was raised and then worked at Joann Fabric. She married Donald Ray on June 5, 1976, at Gospel Church in Petersburg, Indiana. She absolutely loved her grandchildren, family and all of her animals. Donna loved to ride her motorcycle. She also enjoyed riding four wheelers and shooting weapons with her grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Jennie Lee Burgess and Delores Utterbrink, sister-in-law, Brenda Russell and two brothers-in-law; Terry Jenkins and Bill Gehlhausen.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Ray, daughter, Leah Ray of Terre Haute, Indiana, two grandchildren; Mason Boston and Emma Boston, two brothers; Larry Russell of Jasper, Indiana and Darrell Russell (Betty) of Gosport, Indiana and four sisters; Patsy Snyder (Dick) of Freemont, Ohio, Lorene Jenkins of Otwell, Indiana, Brenda Gehlhausen of Jasper, Indiana and Cheryl Russell of Farmersburg, Indiana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home, 400 North Court Street in Sullivan, Indiana 47882. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home.
