Mark D. Jones, 71 of Jasonville, IN passed away Friday June 3, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Knox Co., IN. July 5, 1950 the son of Robert Jones and Joan Fuller Jones.

Mark grew up in Freelandville, IN, graduated from North Knox High School in 1968. Mark was a retired Master Sergeant in the Indiana Air National Guard, Terre Haute, IN. for 22 years. He also was a retired Coal Miner from Peabody and Black Beauty Coal Mines. He owned and operated Double Diamond Welding and Machine Shop in Jasonville for 10 years, specializing in tungsten carbide hard facing.

Mark had many hobbies throughout his life, he was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and scuba diving, he loved to spend time at the lake and river cabin. He enjoyed fast old cars and antique tractors, loved spending time with his dogs, and always enjoyed gardening.

Mark worked hard and played hard. He loved his Country and loved to celebrate the 4th of July. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and Great Grandpa. He also loved to give his grandson Jordan a hard time!!

Survivors include his wife (Nina Harmon) Jones, a son Brian Jones (Laura) of Freelandville, IN, two daughters; Amber Jones (Desmond) of Brownsburg, IN, Morgan Foster (Dwayne) of Monroe City, IN, a brother Steve Jones of Evansville, IN sister Cathy Tropmann (Aaron) of Raleigh, NC. , seven grandchildren Jordon Jones (Shania Peterson), Jacy Jones (Jake Worland), Kale Jones, Korbin Jones, Daylin Thompson, Drake Jones, Demi Jones, Boone Foster, and Baylee Foster, four great grandchildren, Hadlee Henry, Tinlee Jones, Maxon Jones and Liam Warland.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation was chosen per his wishes and a
