Martin Paul Hatfield

Martin Paul Hatfield, 72, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on June 19, 1948 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of William Hatfield and Constance Andrews Hatfield. Martin married Judith Galenski on September 5, 1969. He was a life-long coal miner who retired from Bear Run Coal Mine and was a Shelburn Honorary Volunteer Fireman for 30 years.

Martin is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Richard Hagerman and Jim Jeffries, sister, Mary Scully and brother-in-law, Dale Harris.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Judi Hatfield, sister, Nona Harris of Sullivan and his best buddy, Charlie the dog. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Jim Sayler and Pastor Larry Comer officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home.
