Marvin Shelton, 82, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Envive Healthcare.

He was born on February 7, 1942, in Sullivan County, Indiana the son of Frank Leonard Shelton and Wilma Fern Linn Shelton. Marvin was a veteran of the US Army. He was a mechanic, truckdriver and the manager at the 500 Platolene where he worked for 30 years. Marvin was a member of the Sullivan First Pentecostal Church, Sullivan American Legion Post 139, VFW Post 2459 and Sullivan Moose Lodge 2517.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Leonard Shelton and Jack Shelton, brother, Eugene Shelton and two sisters; Garnet Shelton and Evelyn Hendrix.

Survivors include loving wife, Margaret Shelton, sons; David Shelton, Jerry Shelton, Carl Shelton, Roy Lee Shelton and Danny Shelton, daughter, Julia (Chris) Wilson, stepson, John Fifer Jr. and brother, Archie Shelton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Military Service by the Sullivan Co Honor Guard. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in Paxton, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana.
