Mary Sue (Johnson) Alumbaugh

Mary Sue Alumbaugh, 83, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor.

She was born on February 1, 1937 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of Wayne Johnson and Marcela Houston Johnson. Mary was a nurse’s aide at Pete and Mary Blubaugh’s Healthcare Center and at the Village Nursing Home. She was a member of the American Legion Aux Post 139.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, James Alumbaugh, second husband, Robert Allen, son, Robert Eugene Allen and two brothers; Jim Johnson and Robert Johnson.

Survivors include son, Roy Allen of Shelburn, Indiana, daughter; Brenda Phegley of Sullivan, Indiana, grandchildren; Mary Jo Shaw, Heather Allen, Michelle Bradford and David Wayne and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 10, 2020 at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana with Rev. Lance Newton officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
