Mitchell L. Davis, 67, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at his home.

He was born on August 19, 1954 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of Jack Laverne Davis and Anna Ruth McCammon Davis. Mitchell was a retired Captain with the Indianapolis Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and reminiscing about his days of being a firefighter. Mitchell will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor.

Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Susan Lea Bailey Davis in 2012.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Norcross (Eric) of Greenwood, Indiana, three sons; Joseph Davis (Brittany) of Martinsville, Indiana, Noah Davis (fiancé Hayli Curtis) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Scott Davis (Jessica) of Martinsville and three grandchildren; Annie Davis, Chase Davis and Cooper Davis.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. David Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery in Oaktown, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home.
