Phyllis (Phillips) Bailey, 89, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 10, 2025. She was born on June 29, 1936, in Sullivan County, Indiana, the daughter of Marshall Phillips and Laura Pauline (Marshall) Phillips.

On February 14, 1975, Phyllis married Marion F. Bailey, and together they shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Their life together was built on love, devotion, and deep family roots.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Michael Tague (fiancée Susie) of Linton and Patricia Bailey of Sullivan; her grandchildren, Shauna Feaster (husband James) of Marysville and Jessy Southwood (husband Travis) of Terre Haute; and her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Margaret Feaster, who is expecting Phyllis’s great-great-grandson (husband Spencer); Emma Catherine Feaster; and Benjamin James Feaster—all of Marysville; as well as Mason Southwood and Brady Southwood, both of Terre Haute.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion F. Bailey; her infant sibling; her brother, Dale Phillips; and her grandson Kristopher Michael “Pete” Tague.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana.
