Randal “Stubby” Lawrence Cutliff, 68, of Bloomington, Indiana formerly of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at IU Health Hospice House.

He was born on November 30, 1956, in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of Ronald Cutliff and Betty Evitts Cutliff. Randy married Vicki Strole on October 22, 1977. He was a lifelong coalminer and worked at Gibson County Coal most recently. He attended Crossroads Community Church is Sullivan for several years. Randy was a member of the Scottish Rite Lodge, Twelve Points Masonic Lodge #769, Linton Elks and Zorah Shrine.

He loved to play golf and enjoyed playing in the Coal Hog Classic Golf Tournaments. Randy liked to watch the Indianapolis Colts, IU basketball and IU football. Randy lived for his grandchildren and was an incredibly joyful person who always had a smile on his face.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Vicki Cutliff, daughter, Nicole (Jerod) Wright of Bloomington, Indiana, son, Chad (Emily) Cutliff of Sullivan, Indiana, four grandchildren; Ethan Wright, Isaac Wright, Cameron Cutliff and Emma Cutliff, three brothers; Rob (Tiffany) Cutliff of Plainfield, Indiana, Rick (Amber) Cutliff of Vincennes, Indiana and Jason Cutliff of Terre Haute, Indiana and sister, Kathy (Chet) Howell of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Brust Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Eddie Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana.
