Raymond “Ray” Huff Jr., 57, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, on the same date as his father in 2011, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 24, 1961 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Raymond Huff Sr. and Mary Jane Reynolds Huff. Ray was a self-employed oil driller who was leased by Pinnacle Oil Exp. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at Stewart-Norris American Legion Post 197.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and three nieces: Christina Falconbury-Ballingall, Jessica All-Hamilton and Faith Rae-Ann Albert and nephew, Samuel J. All.
Survivors include his loving wife of 12 years, Phyllis Summerall Huff, two sons; Brandon Huff of Graysville, Indiana and Jerry Moore (Melissa) of Alva, Florida, two daughters; Deirdre Dugan (Scott) of Graysville, Indiana and Lacy Emmel (Andrew) of Indianapolis, Indiana, three sisters; Joyce Dutton (Gerald) of Farmersburg, Indiana, Connie Huff (Dave Thiemann) of Terre Haute, Indiana and Barbara All (Ben) of Terre Haute, Indiana and eight grandchildren; Sarah Moore, Aden Moore, Rachel Moore, Annie Dugan, Risse Dugan, Ethan Moore, Ellie Emmel and Ada Emmel. Ray was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor John Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 14, 2019 and prior to the service Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
