Roger G. Maxson, 86, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on August 29, 1936, the son of Paul Maxson and Helen Grove Maxson. In 1972 Roger started Maxson Refuge Service in Greene County, Indiana, he owned and operated it until he retired. Roger married Shirley M. Oty on February 14, 1955. He was a member of the Church of God.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 67 years, Shirley M. Maxson in 2022, daughter, Connie M. Buzz and two sisters: Phyllis Maxson and Patsy Brenot.

Survivors include son, Roger D. Maxson (Mong) of Thailand, daughters; Kelly Sue Scott of Jasonville, Indiana, Tracey L. Maxson of Jasonville, Indiana and Trenia L. Maxson of Shelburn, Indiana, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 3, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home.
