Roger Evan Mills

Roger Evan Mills, 70, of Hymera, IN, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at his daughter’s residence.

            He was born in Sullivan, IN on October 8, 1953, to Charles Evan Mills and Gertrude Mae Raley Mills.

            He was a founding member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #298 of Hymera, IN. and was a member of the Sullivan County Honor Guard. He retired from the Union Local #204 out of Terre Haute, IN.

            Roger loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren fishing, hunting, watching IU/Cardinal games and any event they were involved in.

            Roger was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother, Raymond Woodard and a sister, Gloria Hood.

            Survivors include a son, Jason Mills (Kristi) of Terre Haute, IN, daughter, Amy Dickson (Cameron) of Hymera, IN, sister, Karen Jones of Dugger, IN, 9 grandchildren; Cody Dickson, Breeann Lawson (Clint), Sydney Hogan (Jake), Tarrin Ahmed (Sarosh), Kinley Dickson, Kaitlynn Mills, Carter Dickson (Gracee), Emily Mills, and Jason Mills Jr., 11 great-grandchildren; Narayah, Lilian, Islyanna, Serenity, William, Isaiah, Sapphire, Mercy Mae, Phoenix, Atticus, and Alexus.

            There will be a memorial service at 6:00PM Monday, January 8, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN with Pastor Bob Dickey officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until the service Monday.
