Roger Smith, 72, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on January 20, 1952, in East Chicago, Illinois the son of Donald Smith and Vera Griffith Smith. Roger graduated from Sullivan High School Class of 1971 and served in the US Army. He was the owner and operator of Smith Glass. He was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post #139, Past Commander of the Sullivan American Legion Post #139, Sullivan County Honor Guard and past City Councilman Precinct #3.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marty Ray Smith, sister, Donna Smith Doyle and brother-in-law, Lex Doyle.

Survivors include his loving wife, Bobbi Samm Smith, two daughters; Danielle Levingston (Chris) of Sullivan, Indiana and Stacy Cunningham of Terre Haute, Indiana, sons; Robert Smith (Kaylee) of Washington, Indiana, Tyler Garrison (Ashley) of Camby, Indiana and Brock Garrison (Alex) of Linton, Indiana, bonus daughter, Rene Craighead of Greencastle, Indiana, grandchildren; Bailey Levingston (Bri), Keenan Levingston (Gracie), Sidney Levingston, Lilly Garrison, Mia Smith, Chloe Smith, Dakota Caldwell, Taylor Caldwell, Allen Caldwell (Britiany), Maddi Garrison, Harper Garrison, Ezra Garrison, Maverick Garrison and Violet Garrison and ten great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Sullivan American Legion Post #139 in Sullivan, Indiana and a Military service by the Sullivan County Honor Guard. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home. A visitation will start at 1:00 PM until the service at the Sullivan American Legion Post #139.
