November 24, 1950 – October 16, 2023 (age 72)

RuthAnn, 72, grew up in Carlisle, Indiana.  Ann passed away on October 16, 2023, in Avon, Indiana.

She was born on November 24, 1950, in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Paul E. Edmiston and Ruth (Thacker) Edmiston.  RuthAnn went to school in Carlisle until consolidation with Sullivan High School occurred in her Junior year.  This facilitated her meeting Gary, her husband.  Both eventually graduated from Purdue University.  Ann & Gary were married on August 21, 1970. She attended Radiant Bible Church. 

RuthAnn was a very caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards. RuthAnn was very family oriented she loved gathering with family and friends. 

Survivors include husband Gary Sparks of Avon, IN, three daughters; daughters Paula Rae Rego of Kirkland, WA, Julie (Brian) Crouse of Avon, IN, Brooke Sparks (Hynek) of Kenneth City, FL; and her brother Paul D. Edmiston (Sue) of Frankfort, IN: three grandsons; Isaac, Nathan & Noah Rego and step-granddaughter Sarah Crouse of Euless, TX.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with minister Bill Phegley officiating.  Interment will follow in Merom Cemetery in Merom, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Radiant Bible Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
