Sherry Sue Ammerman, 72, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her residence with her family at her side.

She was born on May 1, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Richard Holmes and Emily Angell Holmes. Sherry married Ty Ammerman on September 25, 1971 and was a lifelong homemaker.

Sherry is preceded in death by her grandparents; Rev. Drue and Sattie Stanifer, mother, Emily Holmes, father, Richard Holmes, daughter, Tina Wright Jones, two uncles; Leslie Stanifer and Paul Stanifer, step-mother, Dorothy Holmes and great-granddaughter, Logan Scantling.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Ty Ammerman, two daughters; Lori Holbert (Matt) of West Terre Haute, Indiana and Jaime Kreischer (Tom) of Farmersburg, Indiana, two sons; John D. Wright (Sherry) of Sullivan, Indiana and William “Bill” Wright of Farmersburg, Indiana, four brothers; Rev. Gerald Holmes (Janice) of Connersville, Indiana, Artie Holmes (Theresa) of Ohio, David Holmes (Lora) of Muncie, Indiana and Mike Holmes (Lisa) of Noblesville, Indiana, sister-in-law, Connie Hawker (Mike) of Sullivan, Indiana and seven grandchildren; Dalaina Scantling (Brett), Amanda Britt, Peter Britt Jr., Skylar Heidelberg, Carrie Holbert, Nicolas Holbert and Brady Kreischer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM, Monday, January 13, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Gerald Holmes officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home.
