Shirley Ruth (Pirtle) Gambill

Shirley Ruth Pirtle Gambill, 76, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on April 22, 1948, in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of William Pirtle and Jenny Taylor Hamblin. Shirley was a lifelong homemaker who raised her children and enjoyed helping raise many grandchildren. She was a member of the Emmanuel Church of God in Sullivan, Indiana.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Rodger Gambill, infant son, Jeffery Dale Gambill, grandson, Jordan Jones and sister, Rose Snapp

Survivors include three children; Lisa Gambill Moon (Douglas) of Greenfield, Indiana, Rodger Dale Gambill (Heather) of Shelburn, Indiana and Angela Gambill Hood (Bryce) of Shelburn, Indiana, seven grandchildren; Tanner, Teneil, Taylor, Eric, Tristen, Braeton and JaNae and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Mark Bailey officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
