Shirley M. (Oty) Maxson

Shirley M. Maxson, 84, of Sebring, Florida formerly of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home.

She was born on July 19, 1937 in Waverly, Ohio the daughter of Archer Oty and Agnes King Oty. Shirley married Roger G. Maxson on February 14, 1955 and was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Connie Buzz, brothers; Daniel David Oty, Dolan Robinson, Jasper Oty, Samuel Oty, Paul Oty and William Oty and two sisters; Mary Eddy and June Lewis.

Survivors include loving husband of 67 years Roger G. Maxson, son, Roger D. Maxson (Mong) of Thailand, daughters; Kelly Sue Scott of Jasonville, Indiana, Tracey L. Maxson of Jasonville, Indiana and Trenia L. Black of Sebring, Florida, sister-in-law, Annabelle Oty of Springfield, Ohio, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2022 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Brust Funeral Home.
