William “Bill” O. Moody, 92, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
He was born on September 21, 1930, in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Walter Moody and Sarah McCammon Moody. Bill graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1949 and served in the US Army. He was a coalminer for over 30 years and a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Sullivan American Legion Post 139.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna Stultz Moody, son, Paul Moody, brother, Robert Moody and two sisters: Edna Wolfe and Betty Collins.
Survivors include his two sons: Johnathan (Kimberly) Thompson of Chesapeake, Virginia and David (Tammy) Moody of Sullivan, Indiana, daughter, Stacey Wilson of Dugger, Indiana, grandchildren: Patrick (Colleen) Thompson, Alansa (Koltin) Plummer, Ravyn (Alec) Enstrom, Mason (Katie) O’Neal, Adriana O’Neal, Amber (Ricky) Wright-Griffith, Trenton (Jalyn) Moody, Alexa Moody, Ty Moody and Justin Wilson and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
