Cindy K. (Tatom) Cortez

Cindy K. Tatom Cortez, 60, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on March 3, 1956 in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Paul David Tatom and Maxine Mae (Brown) Tatom. Cindy attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sullivan, Indiana. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed gardening, walking and swimming.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents and brother Raymond Tatom.

Survivors include her loving husband Ignacio Cortez, son Lonnie Ray Coleman Jr of Sullivan, Indiana, daughter Angel Dawn Hammond (Joshua) of Graysville, Indiana, four grandchildren; Desiree Cheyenne Coleman, Dulton Ray Coleman, Seirra McCullough and Gage McCullough, siblings; William Schiele (Darlene) of Flower Mound, Texas, William L. Tatom (Judy) of Greenwood, Indiana, James D. Tatom (Shirley) of Sullivan, Indiana, Sharon Hayes (Boyd) of Terre Haute, Indiana, Cathy Beard ( Ralph) of Graysville, Judy Lookebill (Rick) of Brazil, Indiana and Melessa Lawson of Sullivan, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Eddie Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home.
