Bernard Alan Scott, 59, of San Diego, California passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016.
He was born on October 29, 1956 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina the son of Luther and Helen (Beard) Scott. Bernard graduated from Hutsonville High School in 1975.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Luther Wayne Scott, paternal grandparents Luther & Tressie (Huckle) Scott, maternal grandparents Bernard H. & Ella Virginia (McCombs) Beard and several aunts & uncles.
Survivors include his parents; Luther and Helen Scott of Hutsonville, Illinois, three sisters; Phyllis (Jeff) Latshaw of Oaktown, Indiana, Patty Penrod of Sacramento, California and Pamela (John) Pirtle of Merom, Indiana, two aunts; Mary (George) Nelson of Sullivan, Indiana and Barbara Roark of Oaktown, Indiana, seven nieces, two nephews, two great-nieces, three great-nephews and several cousins.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home.
