Dustin Craig Borders

Dustin Craig Borders, 27, of Sullivan, IN, gained his angel wings and entered eternal rest on December 11 2015, in his residence.

Dustin was born to Stacee Pitts Purvis and Ron Borders on July 5, 1988 in Sullivan, IN. Dustin is a graduate of Hutsonville High School.  Following High School, Dustin attended Lincoln Trail College, and graduated in 2011, where he was a Statesmen singer and received Dean’s List recognition. Dustin enjoyed photography, theatre, music, and long walks. He performed in many LTC productions, including The Diary of Anne Frank and Hello Dolly. Dustin had a passion for helping others, and brought tremendous joy to anyone he met.

Dustin is survived by his mother Stacee Pitts Purvis of Sullivan, IN; father Ron Borders (Rilla) Borders of Graysville, IN; grandmother Melinda Pitts of Sullivan, IN; grandfather Hal (Gretchen) Pitts of Sullivan, IN; aunts and uncles: Jody Pitts, Bub Pitts, Buffy Ross and Andy (Lisa) Borders; siblings Dalton Purvis (Emma Velasquez) and Chelsee Purvis (Sameer Noori), step-siblings Allie (Trent) Ehle, Bobby (Elise) Stone and Corey Mehler; and cousins: Dillon Beard, Adrianna Beard, Nathan Privette, and Kayla Borders. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dustin was preceded in death by his Grandparents Gerald and Rosemary Borders.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 18, 2015 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Bill McCord, Pastor Russell Chatwell and Pastor Jarrod Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Brust Funeral Home.
